2010 Lottery Results - New Rule and New Divisions

A great time was had by all last night as we kicked off the 10th season of the HFL.  Only 1 rule change was added for the upcoming season.  There will be a new auction style waiver system in effect.  ESPN added this feature to their game and there will be more information coming as to how this will work.  As soon as the commissioner gets all the details, there will be a followup email.  Stay tuned.

HFL Candidate - Aaron "Allday" Allen

Aaron "All-Day" Allen has been nominated for entrance into the HFL replacing Ben Phillips who has resigned his ownership.  (in the picture, Aaron is the one on the left).

In order to be affirmed as a new league member, Aaron will require a majority vote of 6 votes of our 11 voting members.

FANTASY BIO:

Alright guys I've been playing fantasy sports since 2003.  I have played just about every type of fantasy football and fantasy baseball out there.  I have had approximately 35 different teams over the years.  One problem, I have never taken home first place.  I have been 1st at the end of the regular season, but never after the playoffs.  I've been second 8 times, third 6 times, and with traditional fantasy teams have never been worse than 7th (out of 12 players).  This is why I'm interested in your league.  I'm ready to take home the gold and the HFL title!!!

A New Champion!

Congratulations to Michael Benson owner of Imyerdaddy for winning his 3rd* HFL Championship!  He will take home the largest 1st prize in the history of the HFL thanks to the completion of our first year in operation as a 12 team league. Also, congratulations go to Jim Sheridan for taking 2nd place on the strength of his draft! He made only 1 transaction all year. Outstanding!  Congratulations to Nate Whisenhunt for his 3rd place showing in his rookie year as well as our other rookies for their playoff appearances.

Here is the take for the top 3:

* The total pot is $565 ($420 entrance fees + $145.00 transaction fees and fines)

Here is a list of money owed from each owner.  The top 3 don't have to pay because your fees owed will be deducted from your earnings. (note: 4 of you paid $2.00 extra dollars at the draft, so I counted it toward your transaction fees.  The numbers below reflect what is owed, not what you actually spent in transactions)

Finally, I have added a link in the right sidebar if you would like to pay your fees electronically.  Just click the link and enter the amount you owe.  Click continue to PayPal and you will be taken to a secure PayPal page where you can pay with your own paypal account or your credit card.  (note: ignore the verbage about "tipping the author" on the link)

If you decide to pay cash, please bring it to the awards dinner. You can also pay by check and mail it to 6320 Hidden Springs Arlington, Texas 76001.  If you are not planning to be at the awards dinner/playoff pot draft, then please utilize the paypal link or mail a check to me this week.  Also, if you are paying cash, please do your best to bring the exact amount.

Also, we had some new rules voted in. They are as follows:

NEW RULES:

1. Combined Rushing and Receiving Yards

2. 3 Divisions of 4 (3 division winners are top 3 playoff seeds, and 3 wildcards come from best record. if tie, head to head.  if still tied, points)

3. Min/Max players drafted and maximum position limits on roster. (you must draft the minimum below and you can not exceed the max either during the draft or during the season.)
